Experience incredible performances by Willie Nelson, Neil Young, John Mellencamp, Dave Matthews, and more ALL for a critical mission: strengthening family farmers.
Farm Aid was founded with one major goal: support family farmers and strengthen America. In 1985, this idea was brought to life by Willie Nelson, Neil Young, and John Mellencamp when they organized the first Farm Aid concert to raise awareness about the loss of family farms and to raise funds to keep families on the farm land. Thirty-one years (and more than $50 million raised) later, Willie, Neil, and John are back for another star studded concert for a critical cause that affects all of us: good food and family farmers.
Filmed in September in Bristow, Virginia, Farm Aid 2016, brings together an eclectic mix of performers to celebrate America’s family farmers and the food that they grow for all of us. Join Farm Aid’s board artists, Willie Nelson, Neil Young, and John Mellencamp, and Dave Matthews, as well as Alabama Shakes, Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats, Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real, Margo Price, and Jamey Johnson featuring Alison Krauss for an entire evening of music and celebration.
