Farm Aid is delighted to be partnering with Virginia Beach’s ViBe District for a mural project being painted on the side of Lowe’s Auto Repair at 604 18th Street, adjacent to the Old Beach Farmer’s Market in Virginia Beach. In this post, you’ll learn more about the mural artists, the ViBe District, the Old Beach Farmer’s Market and the work of Farm Aid.
Situated in the ViBe Creative District in Virginia Beach, named one of the “52 Places to Go in 2026” by The New York Times, this Farm Aid mural connects the agricultural and arts communities that meet together weekly at the Old Beach Farmers Market on 18th Street. For more than a decade, farmers, crafters, artisan bakers, makers and creative entrepreneurs have called the district home for operating their independent small businesses. This mural is generously supported by Altruistic Design.

Mural Artists
Farm Aid is thrilled to be working with the renowned mural artist, Pamela Bliss and emerging local artist, Jazzmyn Ellis.
Pamela Bliss
Pamela Bliss is an Indiana-based artist who works predominantly in realism and occasionally in other styles. She creates large scale exterior murals and small scale interior murals and canvas works. She has painted large figurative works including Reggie Miller, John Mellencamp and Kurt Vonnegut along with other subject matter including animate and inanimate objects. Jazzmyn Ellis
Jazzmyn Ellis is a Virginia-based artist known for her vivid and surreal portraits. She highlights people of color for their contributions in popular culture while also emphasizing societal and political contradictions. Topics range from gender roles, spiritual warfare, racial conversions all with a layer of comedic awareness. She mostly uses acrylic paint and spray paint when bringing portraits to life.
Specializing mostly in portraits, Jazzmyn is a self-taught artist who aspires to erase the separation and marginalization of art and what is socially available for purchase in homes and commercial spaces. The ViBe District
ViBe stands for Virginia Beach: Vi=Virginia & Be= Beach
ViBe’s name came from our founding member of the Friends of the Creative District, the legendary Charles Powell. The lightning bolt symbolizes the spark of creativity and energy found here and was inspired by sculpture from the late Virginia Beach artist Larry Mednic located at Runnymede Corporation. The logo was designed by resident ViBe artist Igors Custom.
