The National Young Farmers Coalition shifts power and changes policy to equitably resource our new generation of working farmers. Our coalition was founded in the Hudson Valley, NY, in 2010 when three farmers sat down together to discuss the challenges they and their peers were facing. Since then, we have grown into a powerful advocate for a new generation of farmers. With nearly 6,500 farmer members nationwide, 30 chapters across 24 states, and over 200,000 supporters in our network, we’re sewing a just future where farming is free of racial violence and oriented towards regenerative agriculture.
People remember stories, not statistics. Farmers’ stories build awareness among other farmers, supporters, advocates, decision-makers and funders. Through our collective storytelling, we uplift farmer voices that inspire others to act to advance policy change that can provide transformative opportunities for young and BIPOC farmers.
