As you may have heard, Tuesday May 5 has been declared Giving Tuesday Now day – a special repeat of the annual day of giving that takes place the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. Farm Aid is proud to participate in this day of global giving and unity in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Just like healthcare workers, family farmers and ranchers are essential and they need our support at this challenging time. If you’re able to make a small donation now – or recently have – we thank you; a gift in any amount helps Farm Aid provide immediate assistance to farmers who need your support. Recurring gifts go even further by providing predictable income that we can rely on to operate our hotline, deliver emergency assistance and provide access to other critical resources farmers need to confront crises like this pandemic.
We understand not everyone is able to offer a donation at this time. Fortunately, there are other things you can do to support family farmers – from starting your own Farm Aid fundraising campaign with your friends and family, to directly supporting farmers in your community by shopping at local farm stands or farmers markets, all these actions add up.
This #GivingTuesdayNow, please join us in recognizing all those who work each and every day to help sustain our families. Family farmers continue to be there for us, and we thank you for being there for them – in any way that you can.
