Will DaileyBoston area native Will Dailey released his CBS Records debut, Back Flipping Forward, in November 2007, and began receiving national attention almost immediately when songs from that album appeared in numerous national television programs. Within one week of the album’s release, Will was featured in an on-camera performance on “CSI:NY,” singing his single “Rise” in one of the show’s pivotal and highly dramatic scenes. Will’s music has also been featured on CBS programs "CSI Las Vegas,” “CSI Miami,” “NCIS,” “Kid Nation,” “Jericho,” “Young and the Restless” and MTV’s “The Hills.” He is also the recent recipient of the Boston Music Award for Best Male Singer Songwriter. The songs on Back Flipping Forward were written over a three-year span, inspired by the people Will encountered and the places he stumbled upon while playing countless shows on a series of rambling cross-country tours. Tracks such as the lovely melodic opener “Boom Boom,” the infectious pop-rocker “Bi Polar Baby,” the anthemic “Rise” and the gorgeous Appalachian folk closer “Dear Grace”--a number usually done a cappella during Dailey’s live shows--reflect his eclectic influences, from Tom Waits to early Rod Stewart. The collection conveys a sound that is fresh and contemporary. And Dailey is a force to be reckoned with in the live concert realm. As one reviewer recently wrote, “With his fluid arrangements, breathtaking vocals and strong melodies, he takes listeners on a beautiful journey filled with emotional layers.” Will Dailey is in the midst of a series of new recording projects that will result in numerous releases from the artist in the coming year.
