August 26, 2007 3:00 PM - 9:00 PM Brooklyn Backyard BBQ to Benefit Farm Aid - The Yard in Brooklyn Join Farm Aid for a rustic backyard barbecue along the banks of the Gowanus Canal in Brooklyn.
August 29, 2007 12:00 AM - 11:45 PM Eat a burrito, help a family farm - Chipotle Restaurants All day Wednesday when you purchase a burrito, tacos, salad or bowl with any of Chipotle's naturally raised meats, at any of their restaurants, Chipotle will donate 100% of the proceeds, up to $50,000, to Farm Aid.

October 12, 2007 - December 07, 2007 6:00 PM - 12:00 AM KING CORN OPENS IN NEW YORK CITY! - Cinema Village, 22 East 12th Street, New York, New York 10003; (212) 924-3363 King Corn, a feature documentary by Aaron Woolf, Curt Ellis, and Ian Cheney will make its theatrical debut in New York City on October 12. The film follows Ian and Curt, fresh out of college, as they attempt to grow an acre of Iowa corn and follow their harvest through the food chain. What they find along the way is a processed food kingdom grown entirely dependent on one single crop--and the legislation that keeps it cheap and abundant.
