Farm Aid's Family Farm Disaster Fund
The Family Farm Disaster Fund was established by Farm Aid to help farm families survive weather-related disasters. Right now, family farmers all across the country are facing extreme drought conditions that have devastated their crops and dried up their pastures. Many farmers have lost their crops, and with them their income for the year. For livestock and dairy farmers, the cost to keep their animals fed will obliterate their earnings. These farmers who are most at risk are the farmers who are building the local food systems that are so crucial for thriving local economies and emerging food systems.
Farm Aid is helping family farmers through disasters like these by:
Through workshops and public meetings, Farm Aid-funded groups educate farmers about available disaster assistance in each state. Donations to the Family Farm Disaster Fund will help Farm Aid directly address the needs of farms in crisis. Please help Farm Aid help them.
