The Good Food Movement

When you eat good food grown by family farmers, you know what you’re getting — honest, real food grown by people who care about their land, their community and their future. There is a groundswell of support for local, organic, humanely-raised, family farm identified food! Today, more people than ever want to know where their food comes from, who grows it and how it was grown. This is the Good Food Movement! But there is still much work to be done to strengthen and expand the Good Food Movement so that family farm food is affordable and available to all. Farm Aid is doing that work to keep our farmers thriving, put new farmers on the land, support connections between farmers and eaters, and secure a future of good food for all.

Growing the Good Food Movement

Farm Aid fosters connections between farmers and eaters by growing local and regional food systems and promoting good food from family farms. Purchasing food at farmers markets, farm stands, community-support agriculture (CSAs) programs and other “direct markets” places your dollars directly into the hands of family farmers and provides you with the freshest, best quality food.

For more family farmers to thrive, we must expand the reach of good food, bringing it to grocery stores, schools, workplaces, restaurants – everywhere. By building local and regional food systems that deliver good food from family farms to everybody, we ensure the best possible future for our communities and our country.

What You Can Do

Farm Aid shines a spotlight on the vital importance of our family farmers and the food choices we all can make to support them. Every time we purchase family farm food, we build a better future filled with good food and family farms.

If you care about the food you eat, then please make a gift to Farm Aid. We are dedicated to keeping family farmers on the land growing fresh, healthy food for all of us.
