WASHINGTON - On Saturday, June 24th, Farm Aid will host its second annual gourmet picnic and fundraising event at one of D.C.'s finest dining establishments, Equinox Restaurant. Fresh from the Family Farm, a good food extravaganza hosted by local restaurateurs Todd and Ellen Gray, will bring together local farmers, top chefs, musicians, kids and families to celebrate the connection between quality food and the family farms where it is grown.

Who:

Meet local farmers, hear local folk-rock duo Mercy Creek and taste the gourmet cuisine of D.C.'s finest restaurants including Equinox, Restaurant Eve, Lebanese Taverna, Marcel's, Tallula, Extra Virgin, Red Dog Caf, Citronelle, Vidalia, Dish, Notti Bianche, Poste, Circle Bistro, Galileo, 100 King Street and Caf Saint-Ex.

What:

1 to 3 p.m. Silent auction featuring family-friendly event packages
1 to 4 p.m. Farmers market featuring local farmers and fun activities for kids
2 to 4 p.m. Buffet style family picnic featuring farm-fresh dishes
